MILFORD – After 28 years leading the Milford District Court clerk’s office, Clerk-Magistrate Thomas Carrigan is retiring next week. Carrigan oversees matters including criminal complaints, small claims hearings, traffic appeals and magistrate hearings, and occasionally fills in for some judicial duties.
Carrigan tells the Daily News he is ready to spend more time with his family. His final day will be October 2. Michael Prosser will serve as acting clerk-magistrate while the state conducts a search for a permanent replacement.
