WHITINSVILLE — The Whitin Community Center is offering two Friday water fitness classes this fall, giving participants different ways to build strength, endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness in the pool.
Aqua Ascend is held Fridays from 10:15 to 11 a.m. and is designed as a progressive workout that increases in intensity and complexity over time. The class uses equipment including noodles, foam weights, kickboards and resistance bands to challenge strength, endurance and balance.
Later in the day, Aqua Fit runs Fridays from 1:35 to 2:35 p.m. The class uses the resistance of the water to create a lower-impact workout focused on improving strength, cardiovascular fitness and flexibility.
Both classes are designed to accommodate a range of fitness levels while offering participants an active workout in the pool.
Pre-registration is required through GroupEx for both Aqua Ascend and Aqua Fit.
