WESTBOROUGH – Westborough-based energy services company NORESCO is changing ownership.
Current owner Carrier Global has agreed to sell the company to California-based OPTERRA Energy Services.
NORESCO specializes in improving energy efficiency for buildings and infrastructure and is currently overseeing major federal projects, including a $104 million modernization of the FBI complex in Quantico, Virginia, and a $252 million energy upgrade at the U.S. Army’s Anniston Depot in Alabama. Company officials have not indicated that the sale will affect local employment.
