FOXBOROUGH — Football is back in New England as the New England Patriots officially open 2026 Training Camp on Saturday, July 25, at Gillette Stadium, giving fans their first opportunity to see the team prepare for the upcoming NFL season.
The Patriots’ first public practice marks the beginning of training camp under second-year head coach Mike Vrabel, whose team is looking to build on last season’s success. Veteran players reported to Gillette Stadium on Friday following the arrival of quarterbacks, rookies, and select veterans earlier in the week.
Fans attending Saturday’s opening practice can expect much more than football. Gates open at 9:15 a.m., with practice scheduled to begin at approximately 10:15 a.m. The free event will feature appearances by Pat Patriot, the Patriots Cheerleaders, and Patriots Alumni, along with interactive games, family activities, and photo opportunities throughout the morning.
Training camp practices are held on the upper grass fields behind Gillette Stadium and remain free and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as parking is also free and practices are among the best opportunities to see players up close before the regular season begins.
The Patriots have 13 public practices scheduled throughout training camp, including joint practices with the Indianapolis Colts on Aug. 11 and the Philadelphia Eagles on Aug. 19 and 20, leading into the preseason schedule. All practice dates and times are subject to change based on weather and team needs.
Training camp also offers fans their first look at position battles, rookie standouts, and returning veterans as the Patriots begin shaping their roster for the 2026 season. It will also be the first time fans can see newcomer star wide receiver, AJ Brown after acquiring him from the Eagles on June 1. The team will trim its roster throughout August before opening the regular season in September.
For football fans across Massachusetts, Saturday’s first practice signals that another NFL season is officially underway, with thousands expected to make their way to Foxborough to watch the Pats take the field for the first time this summer.
