Whitinsville — The Whitin Community Center is giving families a new way to stay active and have fun together with the launch of its Free Saturday Morning Fitness & Fun program.
The weekly program begins Saturday, September 12th and will run every Saturday through December 5th. Activities will take place from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and are free for children ages 12 and under thanks to Youth Outreach and the Whitin Community Center.
Each week will feature a different activity designed to encourage movement, creativity, and community connection. The first session will include Back-to-School Handprint Signs in the Members Lounge.
Upcoming Saturday activities include schoolyard golf, crayon box crafts, life-size Candy Land, Halloween activities, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, basketball, mindfulness activities, soccer, and more.
In addition to the weekly activities, Whitin Community Center will also host a free Outreach Swim for the whole family every Saturday from 10:15 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Families are invited to come create, play, swim, and make memories together throughout the fall season.
