Franklin Post 75 Stays Perfect After 20 Run Explosion Over Foxboro

FRANKLIN — Franklin Post 75 turned in one of its most impressive offensive performances of the summer Wednesday night, erupting for 20 runs on 18 hits in a commanding 20-3 victory over Foxboro Post 93.

Franklin wasted little time taking control, scoring seven runs in the opening inning before adding five more in the third, two in the fourth, and six in the fifth to end the game after five innings.

The offense produced contributions from throughout the lineup, with nine different players recording at least one hit.

Sean Kryzak led the charge, going 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBIs, and three runs scored. Jack Sullivan added a 2-for-5 performance with three RBIs, while Joe Goguen finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Jacoby Brown enjoyed a huge night at the plate, collecting four hits in four at-bats, driving in two runs, scoring three times, and swiping a base. Owen Miller contributed two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored, while Gavin Heneghan and Ethan Edmunds each knocked in two runs.

On the mound, Brady Short earned the win after allowing one run on two hits over three innings, striking out three. Cal McKenna closed out the game with two innings of relief, striking out five while allowing two runs.

Franklin now sits at 12-0 this season, outscoring their opponents 143-13. They are making a near undisputed case for being one of the best American Legion teams in the state.
