MILLIS, MASS. — Sweet Science Metrowest Boxing is gearing up for a busy summer, offering three separate programs designed to help youth athletes stay active, build skills, and improve overall fitness in a supportive environment.

The organization will begin its summer programming on July 6th, with all sessions taking place at the Encompass Fitness Building, 27 Milliston Road in Millis, MA. Programs are open to children and athletes of various experience levels and will run throughout the summer months.

First, Sweet Science Metrowest Boxing is offering youth boxing classes, which will be held year-round as well as during the summer session. These classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays and focus on non-contact training designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of boxing.

Beyond learning technique, the program emphasizes the wide-ranging benefits of the sport. Boxing provides a full-body workout that improves endurance, strengthens muscles, and increases agility. It also supports cardiovascular health, helping reduce risks associated with sedentary lifestyles. For younger participants, the program aims to build confidence, improve self-esteem, and provide a healthy outlet for stress relief.

In addition to weekly classes, Sweet Science Metroweast Boxing is also hosting a six-week youth summer boxing camp, running from July 6 through August 11. The camp is designed to give athletes a more immersive experience in training, conditioning, and skill development.

For those who may not be interested in boxing specifically, the organization is also offering a “Summer All Sports Pre-Season Conditioning Program”, which runs during the same July 6–August 11 timeframe. This program is geared toward athletes of all sports, using boxing-based conditioning to improve strength, speed, and endurance in preparation for upcoming seasons.

No matter the sport, the conditioning program is built to help participants reach peak physical form before competition begins.

Sweet Science Metrowest Boxing is continuing its mission to make boxing and athletic training accessible, while helping local youth stay active, confident, and prepared for success both in and out of competition.
