Framingham Post 117 Walks Off Northbridge Post 343, 3-2

FRAMINGHAM — Framingham Post 117 rallied late and pushed across the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge Northbridge Post 343, 3-2, in Massachusetts District 4 American Legion Baseball action Monday night.

The game was a pitchers’ duel throughout, with Northbridge taking a 2-0 lead after scoring single runs in the first and second innings. Framingham answered with a run in the second before tying the contest with a pair of runs in the sixth and seventh innings to complete the comeback.

Northbridge managed just four hits in the loss. Jake Costello led the offense, going 3-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base. Jack Marino added an RBI single, while Alex Vosburg recorded a hit and a stolen base. Cody Veneziano and Dylan Diosomito each contributed hits for Post 343.

On the mound, JP Bolduc turned in a strong start for Northbridge, allowing three runs on three hits while striking out two over 5.1 innings. Cody Veneziano recorded the final two outs in relief.

Framingham collected three hits and capitalized on five Northbridge walks and three hit batters. Ben Morse paced the offense, finishing 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, and a run scored. Jack Maude added an RBI, while Joey Secatore chipped in a hit and a run scored.

Nick DeRosa earned the victory in relief for Framingham, tossing a scoreless inning and striking out one. Starter Michael Chagnon allowed two runs on two hits while striking out seven over three innings, and Brian Chagnon added two scoreless innings of relief.

Framingham finished with three runs on three hits and two errors, while Northbridge scored two runs on four hits and committed no errors.
