MENDON – A former Mendon Selectman and owner of Milford’s PiNZ bowling alley has pleaded guilty to federal charges tied to COVID relief fraud. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, David Breen pleaded guilty to “theft of government property” after improperly using funds from a federal relief program.

Prosecutors say Breen received a $1.5 million Economic Injury and Disaster Loan in 2022 for the PiNZ parent company, Fun Zone, but instead used “$1.2 million for himself including two $100,000 cars and a new home in South Carolina.” He now faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
