MILFORD – A Milford man charged with attempted murder following a Sunday night stabbing will remain behind bars until at least Thursday, when a judge is expected to determine whether he poses a danger to the public.

Edwyn Sanchez was arraigned Tuesday in connection with the stabbing of an 18-year-old in Milford. He was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.

Police say the victim’s condition has since been upgraded. He remains in serious condition but is expected to survive his injuries.

Thursday’s dangerousness hearing will determine whether Sanchez will continue to be held while the case moves forward or be eligible for release on bail.
