Nipmuc Girls Lacrosse Looks to Build on 2025 Playoff Run

The Nipmuc Warriors girls lacrosse team is looking to take another step forward this spring after a season that showed both promise and competitiveness. Last year, Nipmuc reached the second round of the D4 playoffs before being eliminated by a strong Pentucket Regional team, and the Warriors now enter the new season hoping to turn that experience into a deeper postseason push.

One of the biggest reasons for optimism is senior Jayden Lilburn, who has been a major offensive force throughout her high school career. Lilburn enters the season with 188 career goals and 95 assists, numbers that reflect both her scoring ability and her playmaking. She delivered her best season yet a year ago, piling up 80 goals and 17 assists, and she will be counted on heavily again as Nipmuc opens its schedule later this week.

Lilburn’s production has made her one of the players to watch in central Massachusetts, and she was included in the Telegram & Gazette’s list of five players to watch this year. As she closes her high school career and prepares to play at Central Connecticut State University next year, Nipmuc will look to build around her leadership and offensive firepower. The Warriors should get an early read on where they stand once the season begins, and they will aim to make some noise in the playoffs again.
