GRAFTON – Residents in Grafton will decide on a proposed tax override this May as town officials work to address a projected budget shortfall.
After months of discussion over potential cuts, including staffing reductions and possible athletic fees, the Select Board voted 3-2 to move forward with a $5 million override plan spread over five years.
According to the Community Advocate, one estimate suggests the plan would cost the average taxpayer about $150 per year during that time.
