MEDWAY/HOPKINTON – Medway and Hopkinton are among the communities receiving funding through the state’s Power Energy Storage Grant Program.
The program is designed to help keep critical facilities — including affordable housing, schools, community centers, public works facilities and wastewater treatment plants — powered during outages.
The Medway Department of Public Works and Hopkinton High School will each receive $1.3 million to install 250-kilowatt battery storage systems.
