Blackstone Valley continued its recent rise with a dominant 6-0 road win over Hopedale at the Blackstone Valley IcePlex. Charlie Gagin and J.J. MacDonald opened the scoring, and the Beavers broke the game open with a four-goal third period from Drew Shanahan, Benjamin Valenca, Max Piklington, and Ethan Lamoureux.
The offensive outburst complemented disciplined defense and goaltending, and the 6-0 margin extended a positive stretch in which BVT is 3-0-1 over its last four matches. The win marked consecutive victories for the Beavers, who have been scoring in waves and backing it up with structure at both ends of the ice.
Blackstone Valley will take on East Longmeadow on the road Saturday at 6:10 p.m. The Shamrocks are 6-3 this season but enter off a loss to Longmeadow, making this a meaningful challenge for the Beavers. If BVT’s balanced scoring and transition game stay sharp, the Beavers should be in a position to keep climbing the standings.
