WESTBOROUGH – The Westborough Tennis & Swim Club is reportedly considering a significant expansion that could consolidate its facilities into one new location. According to The Community Advocate, the club is eyeing a vacant lot on Oak Street for a proposed state-of-the-art, 26,000-square-foot fitness club.
The property is located in the Highway Business Zoning District, which means the club would need to secure a special permit from the Westborough Planning Board before moving forward. If approved and built, the new facility would reportedly replace the club’s existing locations on Chauncy Street and Oak Street, bringing all operations under one roof.
Details of the proposal are still preliminary, and the project would require Planning Board review as the next step.
