GRAFTON – Grafton officials are considering a chance to buy a privately owned parcel next to North Street Elementary. Last month the Select Board authorized the Town Administrator to pursue an agreement for a 3-acre parcel being divided off and sold for $400,000.
According to reporting from the Community Advocate, the sale would require approval at Town Meeting. While the Town has no immediate plans for the land, officials noted it could prove valuable in the future for parking, maintenance facilities, or other municipal needs. They say securing the parcel now is a smart long-term investment, as it may not become available again.
