Uxbridge capped a season for the ages by defeating Sandwich 3-0 in the Division 3 state championship, extending a dominant run to five consecutive state crowns, the first at the D3 level after four straight D4 championships. The Spartans’ title-game performance mirrored the season: efficient offense, suffocating defense, and veteran leadership in clutch moments.

Mia Ouellette opened the scoring in the first half, setting the tone for a Spartans side that had been nearly impenetrable all season. Julianna Casucci added a third-period strike to widen the margin, and Aubrey Bouchard iced the result in the fourth with a clinical finish to make it 3-0. Behind the scores, Morgan Charbonnier and Sydney Vanderzicht delivered standout defensive work, neutralizing Sandwich’s attempts to create sustained chances.

In goal, Julia Okenquist closed her high-school career in style, recording another postseason shutout to cap a season that included a staggering 36-0 playoff scoring margin and 17 shutouts overall. Outgoing seniors Kendall Gilmore, Julianna Casucci, Amelia Blood, and Julia Okenquist finish careers as champions, fitting punctuation for a program that four-peated at D4 and now has captured its first D3 title.

Uxbridge’s balance and depth made the difference all year; in the final, they were efficient, composed, and ruthless, the hallmarks of a true dynasty.
