The BVT Beavers kept momentum rolling with another quality victory, beating Sutton in a competitive matchup and moving toward a top-ten push in D3 girls volleyball. BVT came into the contest off wins over Bristol-Plymouth (3-0) and North Middlesex (3-1), and the team showed balance and energy against the Suzies.
Mary Poirier anchored the backcourt with three aces, 11 service receptions, and 14 digs. Isabella Raymond chipped in service receptions and defensive work, while Nadia Shloul led the attack with 13 kills and 20 digs, a two-way effort that keyed the win. That balanced stat line illustrates how BVT has found consistent production from both its offense and defense.
The Beavers sit at No. 12 in D3 and can climb the rankings if they continue to collect quality victories. Their next assignment is an intriguing test against Whitinsville Christian, a strong Crusaders squad holding a 10-6 ledger and the No. 2 seed in D5 power rankings. BVT will need to keep serving aggressively, pass well, and convert transition opportunities to emerge from that match with more momentum.
