Hopedale continued its midseason surge with a 5-2 victory over the BVT Beavers on Tuesday, a result powered by big performances up and down the roster. Josie Flemming paced the Blue Raiders with a two-goal night while Annalise Pinto supplied a goal and two assists. Grace Rojee added a goal and an assist, and Kaylei Apicella chipped in as well, giving Hopedale a well-rounded offensive attack that stretched the opponent and created consistent chances throughout the match.
That win represented the fifth straight for Hopedale, a run they reinforced the next night with a dominant 5-0 victory over David Prouty. Prouty came in after a draw with Oxford and looked to be a rested opponent, but Hopedale’s balance and energy on both sides of the ball made the difference. Against Prouty, the Blue Raiders played composed possession soccer, converted on opportunities, and defended with structure, producing a stellar offensive attack.
Clinching an undefeated league slate has been a team accomplishment built on depth, finishing, and reliable defending. The variety of goal sources, from Flemming’s finishing to Pinto’s creativity and Rojee’s two-way play, has made Hopedale difficult to scout and contain. With Douglas up next at 3:45 p.m., Hopedale will face a strong 10-3-1 opponent and a meaningful test of the squad’s ability to maintain intensity on a short turnaround. If Hopedale can keep producing balanced attacking output and defensive organization, they’ll remain in the driver’s seat as league play concludes.
