The Uxbridge boys’ golf squad turned in one of its strongest performances of the season at the CMAC D Championship, finishing fourth overall in a deep field that included Sutton, Auburn, Bay Path, Douglas and Millbury. For a team that entered the event with a 4-11 record, the Spartans exceeded expectations and competed well against top conference programs.

Brady Esposito led the way, finishing fourth individually in a large field and providing a bright spark for Uxbridge. His weekend play gave the roster a dependable scoring anchor and helped the Spartans post lower-than-usual team totals in key stretches. The rest of the lineup showed moments of consistency as well, producing enough depth scoring to vault Uxbridge ahead of teams seeded above them.

The fourth-place finish should serve as a confidence-builder for the Spartans. While the regular season record reflects some inconsistency, this result proves the group can compete when all pieces click. With a few matches remaining in the regular season, Uxbridge will try to parlay this tournament showing into improved play across the lineup and stronger finishes in match play. Expect the coaching staff to emphasize the positives from Brady’s big weekend as Uxbridge works to close the season on a high note.
