Blackstone Valley Tech’s girls volleyball squad has emerged as one of the division’s early standouts, posting a 7-1 record to start the fall. The Beavers’ only loss came to a quality Nipmuc team, and since then, BVT has rattled off three straight wins. In their latest match, they edged out Hopedale in a competitive meeting, winning key sets and closing out the victory by clearing the final hurdles.
BVT’s seasonal form follows a strong 15-5 campaign from last year, and the program’s returners have picked up where they left off. The Beavers have been consistent across serving, passing, and frontline blocks, and those fundamentals have allowed them to control matches and limit opponent momentum. After their win over Hopedale, BVT will prepare for a rematch with Nipmuc at home tomorrow at 10 AM. The Warriors have had mixed results lately, but they will provide a stiff challenge. Expect a tight, competitive matchup between two playoff-caliber squads.
BVT’s early success is a product of steady coaching, experienced upperclassmen, and a group that executes well under pressure. If they maintain this balance, the Beavers should remain in contention as the season moves into the heart of conference play.
