A developer that wants to put up some apartment buildings in Westborough is also proposing donating some land for a fire station. The Community Advocate reports Ferris Development has presented to the Select Board some plans for four five-story buildings with a total of 252 apartments at One Research Drive. Ferris is reportedly offering to donate 1.5 acres of land to build a satellite fire station there. The project would require a zoning amendment. The Select Board referred it to the Planning Board.
