The Nipmuc Warriors have quietly put together a solid campaign, sitting at 8-5 midway through the 2025 baseball season. That mark has earned them the No. 47 spot in the latest MIAA Division 3 power rankings, respectable, but still outside the top 32 needed to qualify for the playoffs. That’s why this week looms large. Nipmuc is set to face Hopedale, one of the premier teams in Division 5. The Blue Raiders enter the contest with a 9-4 record and currently hold the No. 6 spot in the D5 rankings. A win over Hopedale would serve as a huge résumé boost for the Warriors and give them some much-needed power ranking points. Nipmuc is riding high following a dominant 14-1 win over Blackstone-Millville. Jackson Allcock starred in that game, driving in four runs to pace the offense, while Josh Giancola pitched three efficient innings, allowing just one run and striking out five. Hopedale, meanwhile, has a packed schedule and may be showing signs of fatigue, playing three games in three days, including this showdown with Nipmuc. The Warriors will look to take advantage and make a playoff push with a signature win.
