BELLINGHAM — Bellingham Youth Baseball is preparing for its 2026 fall season, with registration still open for several age groups ahead of games beginning in September.
The organization says registration remains open for age 5 and ages 8-9, while the 6-7 and 10-12 age groups are already closed. Age divisions are based on how old a player will be by April 30, 2027.
Fall Ball is designed as a lower-pressure opportunity for players to continue developing their skills, spend time with teammates and prepare for the next baseball season.
Games will be played Saturdays only from Sept. 12 through Oct. 17, with a rain date scheduled for Oct. 24. Any practices will be limited and held at the discretion of each coach and team, with no more than one practice expected.
Saturday game times are scheduled by age group, with ages 10-12 playing from 10 a.m. to noon, ages 8-9 from 10 a.m. to noon, ages 6-7 from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m., and age 5 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.
Bellingham Youth Baseball says it will again use fun Rookie League-style team names for players ages 5-12.
Families can also request that friends be placed on the same team by contacting the league, though organizers say requests will be considered while balancing teams by player numbers and ability. Siblings will be placed together unless otherwise requested.
Families with three or more children participating can also take advantage of a family maximum discount, with the third child registering for free.
The league also has a limited number of gloves and helmets available for players who are trying baseball for the first time or need equipment for the season.
