Hillers Pitch Perfect in 12-0 Softball Rout of Medfield

Hopkinton’s softball squad regained momentum in emphatic fashion Tuesday night, routing the Medfield Warriors 12-0 after dropping back-to-back games to Lincoln-Sudbury and Milford. The Hillers jumped out to an early lead with timely hitting and never looked back. Senior Caroline Ozmun delivered a game for the ages, launching a grand slam in the third inning and adding another solo homer later in the contest, finishing with five RBIs. Holly Paharik also provided run production of her own, crushing a solo home run and sparking rallies throughout the lineup. On the mound, Hopkinton’s starter tossed five shutout innings, scattering just three hits while striking out six, before the bullpen closed out the final two frames without allowing a baserunner. Defensively, the Hillers were flawless—turning two double plays and saving runs with several diving stops in the infield.
