By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The old mill on Union Street in Franklin has been sold to a developer with the potential to use it for some housing. Last month the Franklin Town Council voted to rezone the site from business to commercial to encourage redevelopment and now the Worcester Business Journal confirmed it has been sold for $1.5 million to Franklin-based R&B Realty Trust. Officials say the Franklin Mills Store will stay but they’re exploring a remodel to a mix of commercial and residential, with up to 103 units allowed
