By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Fay Mountain Water Tank in Westborough is being taken out of service for about a week or two. This is part of an overall project to improve the system for purifying drinking water before it enters the piping network which will continue through October. But taking the tank offline will change certain flow patterns in the system and that may make your water a weird color. If that happens, run the cold-water tap for a few minutes until the water runs clear, and do not do any laundry until your water is clear.
