Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell has filed a lawsuit against Marchand LLC and associated parties for violating Massachusetts environmental laws. The defendants are accused of illegally dumping septic waste, construction debris, and wood waste into wetlands at their Blackstone facility. The complaint alleges that these actions contaminated protected wetland areas, which safeguard the town’s drinking water wells. The AGO seeks civil penalties and measures to restore the affected wetlands. The case involves efforts from the AGO’s Civil Rights and Environmental Protection Divisions, with support from Mass DEP and the Environmental Strike Force.
