MEDWAY – The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has fined G.T. Home Service Inc. of Newton nearly $13,000 for asbestos violations tied to renovation work at a Medway home.
State officials say the company failed to conduct a required asbestos survey before renovation work began and also did not follow proper procedures for removing, packaging, and storing asbestos-containing joint compound.
