By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Westborough is reportedly putting a hold on any new sewer connections for at least a year. The Community Advocate reports the Select Board has voted to approve a moratorium on new sewer connections and expansions in order to “protect the integrity of the town sanitary system”. There will be some very specific exceptions. The DPW Director says they need the pause to examine how much flow is really being used, with the town allowed up to 2.89 million gallons per day but already using at least 2.27 million.
