By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Wrentham is the latest town trying to get out from under the state’s MBTA Communities Law which requires the more than 170 cities and towns in the MBTA service area to adopt zoning that creates more housing. The Select Board has written a letter to the Governor’s office to ask for a waiver or modifications, saying compliance would mean increasing the population by about 13% and would “overload infrastructure, police, fire, and schools”. They say Wrentham has its own plan to increase available housing.
