The Westborough Civic Club is reporting donating $50,000 to the town to build a small park. The donation to commemorate the Club’s 50th anniversary will go toward what’s called a “pocket park” that will go on Main Street in a space between The Coop and Town Hall. The Community Advocate reports the club has presented a couple of draft design proposals to the Select Board. As for what to name the park, the Select Board has decided to take input from residents although the Civic Club would like there to be a plaque to create awareness of the Club and its contributions to the Town.
