If you saw the commotion near Hopkinton’s Echo Lake Tuesday afternoon, that’s where a tree worker got stuck in the air when the lift hydraulics on his bucket truck conked out. The Hopkinton Fire Department brought in a specialized team to rescue the worker who was stuck 65 feet in the air in the 18-degree wind chill for more than 2 hours while the firefighters had to rig a way to pull him up from the bucket and then lower him to the ground. The man was not hurt. Officials say the weather likely affected the hydraulics.
