By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – MassDOT is doing overnight ramp closures at the interchange of Interstate 495 southbound and Interstate 90 in the overnight hours this week. From tonight through Thursday from 11pm to 5am both the on-ramp and off-ramp will undergo maintenance. Detours will route drivers either up to Route 9 westbound, which is Exit 59B, or West Main Street, which is Exit 54A, depending on which ramp is closed. The interchange is undergoing a multi-year, multi-stage rebuild which MassDOT says is to make it safer.
