BELLINGHAM – An off-duty Bellingham firefighter-paramedic is being recognized after helping save the life of a man who suffered cardiac arrest while at a martial arts studio in Raynham.
Officials say Paramedic Madison Anderson immediately sprang into action when the 63-year-old man collapsed. Anderson performed high-quality CPR and used an automated external defibrillator (AED) to deliver a lifesaving shock before Raynham firefighters arrived.
By the time emergency crews reached the scene, the man had regained a pulse and was breathing. In recognition of Anderson’s actions, the Raynham Fire Chief has sent a formal commendation to the Bellingham Fire Department.
