By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Northborough police are warning that two residents recently fell victim to what’s known as the “Grandparent Scam” in which you are contacted by someone indicating your grandchild or other young relative is in some type of trouble and needs a large amount of money right away. In a message on Facebook, they say it is an elaborate, well thought out scam and you need to be diligent about how you interact with those who contact you through your phone or email. Northborough Police did not elaborate as to how much money was lost.
