By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Town of Milford has responded in court documents to a lawsuit filed last fall by former Police Chief Michael Pighetti who claims his 2021 firing was a breach of contract and that he was defamed by Select Board members over how he handled his budget. The Daily News reports the Town and Select Board filed a response December 27 with the Select Board members named in the suit denying any allegations of wrongdoing in how they spoke about Pighetti or the process by which he was terminated.
