A Milford police officer, previously honored for his bravery, is facing drug charges in Rhode Island. Rhode Island State Police say Officer Mark Castiglione along with Renee Deans of Milford were arrested December 28 by troopers monitoring a park in Providence where there had been reports of drug activity. Troopers arrested Castiglione and Deans on allegations of possession of fentanyl and cocaine. The Daily News reports at the time of his arrest last month, Castiglione was out on medical leave. In 2015 he was honored for saving three people from a burning car in Cape Cod.
