MILFORD – Milford Police K-9 Titan is being credited with helping locate a person experiencing a mental health crisis after they ran into a wooded area last week.
According to the Milford Police Department, officers and firefighters responded Thursday after receiving a 911 call reporting that the individual had fled into the woods near Upper Purchase Street.
Emergency crews searched the area for about an hour using both ground teams and a drone. During the search, K-9 Titan alerted handlers toward a nearby power line corridor, where the individual was found unharmed. The person was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
