MILFORD – Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino is recognizing the critical role of dispatchers during National Telecommunicators Week. He described the team at the Milford Public Safety Communications Center as “the nervous system of all emergency services” in the community.
Tusino noted that more than 50,000 times a year, telecommunicators are the first responders for those in need, calling them the “guardian in the dark” for on-scene personnel. He added that while their work is often unseen, it is deeply appreciated.
