Authorities say that over the past two weeks, the communities have experienced a spike in reports of thefts from motor vehicles. The incidents have generally occurred during the overnight hours.

Police are urging residents to lock their vehicles at all times, whether during the day or overnight, and to avoid leaving valuables or other personal belongings where they can be seen from outside the vehicle.
