MENDON – Residents and visitors dealing with ongoing Route 16 construction should soon receive more warning when major traffic backups are expected.
Following complaints about significant delays associated with the three-year reconstruction project between Taft Avenue and the Hopedale town line, Mendon officials worked with MassDOT to improve communication.
The town says future major closures and traffic impacts may be announced through the town website, social media channels, and the local alert system to help motorists plan ahead.
