WESTBOROUGH – Lifeguards are set to return to Lake Chauncy for the first time since the pandemic. Westborough officials say staffing challenges in recent years made it difficult to fill positions, but the town has now increased starting pay to $19 per hour.
The Recreation Director told the Community Advocate that about 20 qualified applicants have already applied, with hopes of hiring 15 lifeguards before the season officially begins on June 29th.
