With the super-hot weather, Hopkinton’s Water-Sewer Manager says they have seen a dramatic increase in water use over the past several days and is reminding everyone that the town’s groundwater is low and there are still restrictions on outdoor water use. Eric Carty says after seeing minor improvements in groundwater levels in May, they are now seeing those drop back down again. And he says they have had to increase well pumping hours to try and keep up with demands which make the issue worse. He reminds you there is no lawn watering allowed and no other non-essential use.
