Hopkinton Select Board Chair Muriel Kramer says she is doing well after having a stroke last week. In an email to the Hopkinton Independent, Kramer says it happened Wednesday while she was out walking in Boston and calls herself lucky that the friend she was with recognized the signs and called 9-1-1 which got her into a hospital in 15 minutes. She says had a second stroke in the hospital but calls her treatment outstanding. She says she is home now and resting but wants everyone to learn the acronym for the signs of stroke: FAST which stands for Face, Arms, Speech and Time.
