HOPKINTON – Hopkinton will host an Independence Day Parade this year following the end of the longtime Horribles Parade tradition. The Select Board has approved the parade route, which was submitted by the Veterans Celebration Committee.
According to the Hopkinton Independent, the event will be organized by the town’s Democratic and Republican committees and is intended to be “positive and celebratory,” after recent Horribles Parades had drawn criticism for becoming more negative in tone.
