HOPKINTON – Hopkinton is moving forward with a new Independence Day tradition as plans have been finalized for a community Fourth of July parade.

The event replaces the former Horribles Parade and is being organized by the Veterans Celebration Committee with support from both the Hopkinton Republican and Democratic Town Committees. Organizers say the parade will focus on celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday and promoting community pride.

Individuals, families, businesses, organizations, and neighborhoods are all invited to participate at no cost. Awards for parade floats will be presented following the parade at the Town Common gazebo.
