Hopkinton has a new senior citizen property tax exemption for school building construction projects. Town Manager Elaine Lazarus says in her weekly update that starting in 2026, qualifying seniors will get a property tax exemption equal to or less than the actual cost of borrowing for that year for a specific school building construction project, of which Hopkinton has a couple in the pipeline. Qualifications are very similar to the existing circuit breaker programs. Check the town website for all the details.
