By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Hopedale Police Department has gotten a $114,000 grant from the US Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Hopedale Town News reports the money will go toward the Department’s continued pursuit of accreditation through the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission. The funding will be used to buy new state-of-the-art policing hardware and software, make improvements to various department spaces and convert all department documentation to digital formats.
