Hopedale is now in a Level 2 Significant Drought stage so outdoor watering is more restricted. In a notice on the town website, officials say the drought rules that went into effect in May have now expanded with no nonessential outdoor watering at all except for ornamentals and flower gardens and only with drip irrigation, hand-held hoses or watering cans. And the Water Department says the days you can water are based on where you live. You can see a map of Hopedale’s watering zones on the town website.
